CEO

Jake is a Portland native with meaningful connections across our communities and has a great enthusiasm for strategic leadership and asset management. He started his career in finance in New York City after attending the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). Upon returning to Portland in 2005, Jake entered the real estate industry, beginning in the commercial brokerage world before shifting his focus to commercial/housing development and investment.

With over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, Jake joined MRA in August 2024 as Chief Executive Officer and is focused on positioning MRA for successful long-term growth, operational excellence, and having a positive impact within our working communities.

Outside the office, Jake enjoys walking the dog with his wife, watching his two children play high school sports, hot yoga, Michigan football, and spending time with family and friends.

BOARD CHAIR

Mitchell started his career in Denver, Colorado after attending the University of Denver. He worked in real estate development with a focus on net lease build to suits. He partnered with national retailers, such as Starbucks and 7 Eleven, to develop their expansion strategies across the Mountain West region.

Since 2018, Mitchell has been back in Portland leading the management of MRA’s real estate portfolio and developing long term strategy for the company. Mitchell is a participating member of the Old Town Community Association.

He enjoys spending time with his family, being active outside, Portland’s many great restaurants and playing golf.

PORTFOLIO MANAGER

Chris was born and raised in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He started his career in hospitality after moving to Denver, Colorado in 1983.  After the hotel he managed for 11 years was sold, Chris transitioned to residential property management, managing a 315 unit high-rise apartment community. 

In 2006, Chris moved to Portland, Oregon and was given the opportunity to manage an MRA Investment owned property. MRA promoted him to Portfolio Manager in 2015.  Chris oversees the management of MRA’s Oregon and Washington residential communities totaling 544 units, as well as some commercial sites.

Chris enjoys gardening, sailing, boating, spending time with his dog, family, and friends. 

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

As MRA’s administrative assistant, Kristin values building trust and strong relationships with clients. She attended Linfield University and has over 20 years of experience in property management and accounting. Prior to working for MRA, Kristin was the head of the accounting department at Venerable Properties, where she managed over 40 commercial and multifamily accounts.

Kristin grew up in Portland and McMinnville, Oregon. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, painting, reading, and spending quality time with her husband, two children, and their dog.
